The Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Raffle and the Winners Are….

The Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Raffle Winners – Each year, the ending of the Teddy Bear Suite and Christmas in Edgartown is bittersweet, but one of my favorite parts of this incredible event happens then.

The bears make a lot of people smile!

We draw the winners of our annual holiday raffle — one of the important ways we raise money for the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Fundraiser, which supports the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club Healthy Happy Kids food program.

The Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Raffle – 3 Incredible Prizes

This year, we had three incredible raffle prizes: a 10-foot Adventure Paddle Board + paddle, donated by the Green Room; a Giant Teddy Bear, Nemsha’s twin, donated by Point B Realty; and the Vineyard Restaurant Experience, which had over $1,000 worth of donated Island restaurant gift certificates. You can only imagine how fun it is to call the winners of these prizes!

Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Fundraiser Goal Is $45,000

The Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Fundraiser has a goal this year of raising $45,000. That’s enough money to underwrite the entire H2K after-school food program, which is now feeding one in three island children in our primary schools.  The program is a game-changer, and it’s working. It’s already helping end childhood hunger and food insecurity on Martha’s Vineyard.

With the raffle, the Teddy Bear TrotTeddies Around Town, the Teddy Bear Suite, and online donations, we hope to meet that goal. As of December 20th, we have raised $25,000+ so far!

The Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Raffle Winners

Back to the raffle and the winners are….. the Paddle Board winner is Edgartown resident, Ray Auger. He was in Scotland when he got the call, and as you can imagine, he is very excited to come home to this prize!

For the Giant Teddy Bear, Ralston Francis is the winner. Ralston and his wife own the Edgartown Diner, and can frequently be found around town.

They both really wanted this bear and I could not have been happier when their ticket was pulled! He has already picked up his MV Teddy Bear Suite prize!

For the “grand prize” so to say, because the Vineyard Restaurant Experience is over the top, we have Glenda Hazard, who summers in the campground in Oak Bluffs.

An incredible collection of Island restaurants!

She actually emailed us about raffle tickets, and we were able to get them for her. She was very, very surprised when she won, and can’t wait to come back to the Island!

A big congrats to our winners and a big thank you to all those who participated in the raffle. We raised a couple thousand dollars with your help!
