Teddy Bear Suite Schedule
This year, the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite is open for four days coinciding with all the other Christmas in Edgartown festivities. While entry to the Teddy Bear Suite is open and free to everyone, please at the door, take a moment to remember a suggested donation of $5.00 for the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club’s Healthy Happy Kids vital after-school food program.
Thursday, December 6th – 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Friday, December 7th – 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, December 8th – 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, December 9th – 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
This is an exciting year for us. It’s the first time our bear family has left the Harbor View Hotel. Being on Winter Street, in the middle of all the Christmas in Edgartown fun is an exciting change. The Teddy Bear Suite is going to add to the festive glow of downtown!
Teddy Bear Trot
In addition to the Teddy Bear Suite, we are hosting the annual Teddy Bear Trot Holiday 5K Run & Walk, the Island’s only jingle run. This fabulous, albeit chilly, 5K takes you through beautiful downtown Edgartown and then out to Katama. All the money raised is going to support the Teddy Bear Suite Fundraiser.
We have so many great things for participants this year. We are going to have t-shirts for the first 200 runners, fudge from Murdick’s Fudge, also for the first 200 people to register. Lulu Lemon is donating the first place prizes for the fastest male/female runners. We’ve got prizes for the most festively dressed – adult male/female and child male/female, and more. So dress in your most festive attire that’s fit for running or walking.
Also, Chilmark Coffee will be at the Trot. Roaster and maker, Todd Christy will be there selling his delicious, locally roasted coffee drinks to take away the chill, with a portion of the sales also supporting Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club’s Healthy Happy Kids.
Teddies Around Town
We are so excited to introduce Teddies Around Town. We have so many bears! Even bears to share, and 20 lucky bears are going to visit Edgartown businesses.
Why is this exciting? Well, each bear will have its own adventure. Will bears be eating scones? Getting their fur blown out? Wearing the coolest shades of the season? We’ll have to see. Each Business is creating their bear’s fun.
Teddy Bear Suite On Instagram
In addition to the bears, there will be a custom Teddies Around Town Instagram Photo Frame. Why not have a little photo fun and festive competition. The businesses with the most creative display and the most money raised will win a prize, and the top three photos from participants will win prizes from Slip 77. So, get ready to cozy up with the Teddies Around Town and use these hashtags #mvteddybearsuite #teddiesaroundtown and to get even more likes, add these hashtags, #christmasinedgartown and #mvboysandgirlsclub.

We love the holiday magic of the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite, but it’s also important to take a moment to recognize what its true magic is. As you may know, the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Fundraiser is in full swing. Our doors might not be opening until Thursday, December 6th, but we’ve been busy little bears, already raising more than $15,000, including $14,000 on Giving Tuesday for the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club’s After School program, Healthy Happy Kids. This vital food program now serves food to almost 40% of the Island’s Kindergarten thru eighth-grade children. It’s already having a major impact on reducing childhood hunger and food insecurity island-wide.
We still have so much work to do! This year we need your help again in raising the $45,000 needed to fund this crucial program! Whether online or at the Teddy Bear Suite, your gift makes a difference. Every dollar raised goes directly to Healthy Happy Kids.
