Giving Tuesday Raises $13,190 For The Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Fundraiser

Giving Thanks For Giving Tuesday! With incredible support and generosity from individuals and businesses, the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite raised $13,190 on Giving Tuesday. What a great way to start the annual holiday fundraiser!

Giving Tuesday Point B Donation Match

After seeing the enthusiastic Giving Tuesday donation support, Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite sponsor Point B Realty, upped its matching donation pledge from $5,000 to match dollar for dollar, the entire total raised on Giving Tuesday. Between individuals and businesses, who are part of the new Teddies Around Town fundraising events, $6,595 was raised online on Giving Tuesday.

Teddy Bear Suite co-founder and Point B Owner/Principal Broker, Wendy Harman, decided to match the entire amount to help get this year’s fundraiser off to a big start toward its $45,000 goal. All the money raised goes directly to fund the vital Healthy Happy Kids after school food program at the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club. Food insecurity and childhood hunger are sadly real issues on the Vineyard. H2K is now serving substantial snacks and meals to 32% ( one in three) of all the kindergarten thru eighth-grade school kids on the island. It’s a program that’s working and makes a difference.
