Capturing the Spirit of the Holiday

Over the past eight years, the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Fundraiser has generated more than $171,000 for the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club’s After School Program.

Did you know that almost 40% of K-8 public school children receive food from the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club after school program? This is a staggering number and why the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite is so important, not only to Christmas In Edgartown, but so many island children and their families.

For the last three years, we have been fundraising for the Club’s Healthy Happy Kids or nicknamed H2K. With the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Fundraiser, we have been able to fund this vital program that provides free food to hundreds of Island children each week in the Club’s after school program.

As with last year, we need to raise $45,000 to fund H2K. Through the Teddy Bear Suite donations ($5.00 suggested donation at the door), online donations, the Teddy Bear Trot, Teddies Around Town, and our holiday raffle, and your donations, we are hoping to reach our goal to keep H2K funded. Every dollar makes a difference in the lives of so many Island children. Together, we can fight food scarcity on the Island.
